Airtel gives Reliance Jio over speed chart But Jio prevails in 4G availability
According to a recent report by Broadcast Speed Test firm OpenGuangal, Bharti Airtel has been the topper in its 3G and 4G speed chart, while Reliance Jio is ahead in terms of 4G availability. The firm has said in its report "Position of Mobile Network: India", as it happened six months ago, Airtel has won both our 4G Speed and 3G Speed Awards.The average LTE download speed at Airtel Network is rated at 9.2Mbps and 3G Download Speed 3.6Mbps. It has also been reported in the report that both the company's speed has declined in comparison to the previous report. According to this, his report is based on data from more than seven lakh mobile handsets across the country from June 1 to August 31, 2017.
With speed of 5.8Mbps, Jio's 4G speed was rated the lowest among four national 4G operators. However, due to the heavy reach of the Gio LTE network across the country, it topped the Overall Speed Chart. Along with Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone have also made a lot of increase in download speed.
It has been stated in the report that Airtel got 3G and 4G Top Speed Award for OpenGuide, but its overall speed rank is at Jio Top, whose 4G availability is much better rated. Overall speed includes 3G and LTE speed as well as the availability of each network technology.
